The Fort Worth Scottish Rite Annual Picnic was held in the ballroom of the Fort Worth Masonic Temple on July 18, 2015. Over 400 Brothers, families and guests enjoyed free hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream. Entertainment included the annual motorcycle fun run, raffles and drawings.
The 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle raffle was won by Laura R, the cruise credit by Mario H and the shotgun by Tim C. The raffle proceeds benefited the charity programs of the Fort Worth Scottish Rite Foundation. In 2015 the Foundation awarded over $60,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors, distributed specialized bicycles to local police departments, supported ROTC and JROTC cadets and provided a generous gift to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children is a world leader in the treatment of pediatric orthopedic conditions. The Hospital strives to improve the care of children worldwide through innovative research and teaching programs, training physicians from around the world. The Hospital treats children with orthopedic conditions, such as scoliosis, clubfoot, hand disorders, hip disorders and limb length differences, as well as certain related neurological disorders and learning disorders, such as dyslexia.
