Scottish Rite Foundation’s 67th Grand Annual Banquet was held on Saturday, June 11th at the Fort Worth Masonic Temple. The evening’s festivities began with a reception in the Commandery Asylum to honor recipients of the Foundation’s 2022 scholarships and Anson Jones Award.

Over thirty area students were on hand to receive scholarships awarded by the Foundation. In 2022 fifty $1,500, one $1,000, and two $750 scholarships were awarded to high school seniors. A $1,500 scholarship was awarded to a TCU student enrolled in the Davies School of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

In addition, a charitable donation was made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in the amount of $15,000.

Our special guest speaker for the evening was our Anson Jones Award recipient Bill E Waybourn, Sherriff of Tarrant County, who gave a short acceptance speech and words of encouragement to our scholarship winners. It was an enjoyable evening for all in attendance.
